Up to 20 workers; no separate urinal minimum.

Fixture minimums only—not full-site compliance certification. Toilet seats and urinals are not interchangeable.

How this is calculated
  • Up to 20 workers1 toilet facility
  • 21–1991 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers
  • 200 or more1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers

Partial fixture counts round upward. The 200-or-more row applies starting at exactly 200 workers.

Why 20 uses the smallest tier: the table says both “20 or less” and “20 or more.” OSHA’s May 17, 2006 interpretation explicitly states that 20 employees require at least one toilet; this calculator follows that guidance.

Fixture-count guidance only, not certification of full site compliance. Trailer suitability depends on actual toilet-seat and urinal configurations, prompt access, sanitary maintenance, washing facilities, and other applicable sanitation, state/local, and accessibility requirements. Toilets and urinals are not automatically interchangeable.

See current pricing online. Review the rental scope, service needs, and site-specific arrangements before reserving.

03

Set the delivery plan

Job site planning guide

Plan restroom coverage
for the working day.

01

Size for the busiest shift

Count the workers, subcontractors, office staff, and visitors who will use the same facilities. A staggered crew and a crew that breaks together create different demand. Share peak numbers and remaining on-site restrooms so we can help compare layouts without treating the total project roster as the daily user count.

02

Give us the access details; we handle setup

Show us a stable, level placement area and share gate hours, turning space, equipment routes, and power and water connections. Your site prepares the agreed area and access; we deliver and set up the trailer. Keep the service route clear during the rental, and discuss any alternative utility arrangement before delivery.

03

Build OSHA 1926.51 into the site plan

Ask your safety lead to review toilet fixture counts under 1926.51(c) and washing facilities under 1926.51(f). Confirm water temperature, soap, hand drying, and the cleaning and replenishment plan for your selected trailer. Also review worker routes and any separate accessibility requirements; an ADA-equipped trailer is not a substitute for an OSHA sanitation review.

04

Plan for crew changes before they happen

Phased builds can change usage, servicing needs, and the time facilities remain on site. Share anticipated increases or reductions when arranging the rental. Contact us before a phase change to review capacity, an extension, or pickup, rather than leaving restroom coverage dependent on the original project dates.

Rental questions

Construction restroom
trailer FAQ.

Answers for contractors, project managers, and site superintendents planning a rental.

Can restroom trailers support OSHA 1926.51 compliance?

Yes. Restroom trailers can support a construction site's sanitation plan, but compliance depends on the full setup. OSHA 1926.51(c) specifies minimum toilet facilities by workforce size, and 1926.51(f) addresses washing facilities, water temperature, soap, hand drying, and sanitary maintenance, with applicable exceptions. We can review trailer specifications and rental arrangements with your site contact; your employer or safety lead must verify the site's requirements. A rental is not an OSHA certification.

Does the number of stalls tell me whether my site is OSHA-compliant?

No. Table D-1 in OSHA 1926.51(c) specifies facilities by employee count, including toilet-seat and urinal ratios for larger crews. Check the selected trailer's actual fixture configuration and any other available facilities rather than assuming a two-, three-, or four-stall trailer automatically meets the rule. Your safety lead should confirm the applicable requirements for the workforce.

Do I need to choose a trailer before calling?

No. Give us your peak crew count, shift pattern, project dates, and site address. We can help you compare layouts and identify the access and utility details needed to recommend a suitable option.

Where can I see pricing, and what affects the quote?

Start with current pricing in the online booking tool, or call for help. Your quote depends on the trailer, dates, delivery location, and site-specific service needs. Review the rental scope and payment arrangements before reserving.

Can a trailer stay on site for an extended project?

We can help plan a longer rental around your anticipated dates and usage. Trailer availability, site access, servicing needs, and the agreed rental arrangement determine the plan. Share any expected phases when you contact us.

Do you deliver and set up the trailer for our crew?

Yes. We deliver and set up the trailer, working with your site contact on the agreed arrival window. Your site needs to provide a suitable placement area, clear delivery and service access, and the connections required by the selected trailer. We review those details before delivery and coordinate pickup when the rental ends.

How is ongoing servicing handled?

We review service needs against usage and rental duration and agree the frequency, supplies, and vehicle access as part of your rental plan. Ask us to walk through the scope and costs rather than assuming every trailer has the same service schedule.

What happens if the crew size or project dates change?

Contact us when the plan changes. We can review capacity, servicing, and rental dates with you. Extensions, additional units, and changes depend on availability and the agreed terms; arranging them early helps avoid a coverage gap.

Can you review our company's billing or purchase-order requirements?

Share your company details, project reference, and any invoicing or purchase-order requirements before booking. Our team can review the available billing arrangements and payment timing with you. Specific account terms must be agreed for the rental.

Who coordinates pickup at the end of the project?

We coordinate pickup with your site contact around the agreed rental end date and access arrangements. Let us know about schedule changes before the anticipated close-out so we can review the pickup plan.
