Choosing a trailer · Sizing

Which trailer?
Start with four inputs.

Guest count matters, but it is not the whole answer. Event length, peak moments and who else will use the facilities all change the right configuration.

Planning guidance by Restroom Resources

The short answer

Use guest count and event hours for a starting estimate with the estimator below, then adjust for peak moments, alcohol service, staff and vendors, and existing venue restrooms. Compare the result with the configuration table, and treat any estimate as a planning guide your trailer specialist confirms, not a guarantee.

The inputs that matter

Inputs that shape the configuration.
InputWhy it changes the answer
Guest countMore people means more use. The starting point, not the conclusion.
Event hoursLonger events mean more visits per guest.
Peak momentsBreaks, intermissions and the end of a ceremony concentrate demand.
Food and drinkBeverage service generally increases use.
Staff and vendorsCaterers, crew and performers use facilities too.
Existing restroomsVenue restrooms may share the load, or may be closed or distant.
AccessibilityDecide whether an accessible layout is the main trailer or one of several.

How to read the result

The estimator is a planning guide based on guest count and duration only. It does not account for every factor above, and your trailer specialist will confirm the best fit. It is designed for private events; it is not a workplace or construction fixture calculation.

The limits of any estimate

There is no universal fixture ratio that fits every event. Published guidance varies by event type, and real use depends on the audience and the program. That is why this guide does not promise that a configuration will serve a specific number of guests without queues.

Treat estimates as a conversation starter: if your event has a sharp peak, heavy beverage service or few other facilities nearby, discuss sizing up or adding a second trailer.
